“Blessed is the man who TRUSTS in the Lord, and whose HOPE is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7

We are called blessed when we place our trust not in our paycheck, nor our job security, nor our family, nor our friends, but in the Lord. He created us to be connected to Him. We grow—similar to a strong tree—when we trust in Him.

Just as deep roots provides the tree with nutrients and moisture to flourish; we must  be rooted in God’s Word so that we have an abundance of nutrients to give us life even in the hardest of times. Having deep roots in God’s Word means that when challenging times comes, we keep thriving because we stay connected to the Lord. Our trust in Him will not waver because our roots are embedded in His Word and we will be able to face whatever challenges the enemy toss our way.

My prayer is that you feed your souls daily by feasting on God’s Word. It is the only way we will not fall when the enemy comes to destroy us. Only when we put our complete trust in the Lord, will we be able to survive.

May God’s Word be where we spend our time to set up roots deep in the Holy Spirit. This will equip us to thrive, no matter what the weather may be.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You, and not in what I see, hear, or feel. You know me better than any other. Help me become all I was created to be in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
