“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD…” — Jeremiah 30:17
January 20th, 2021 was the day that my health struggles began. It was the day I was told whilst being wheeled into a secluded hospital room that I have contracted covid-19 and was suffering from pneumonia as well. Devastated by the news I just bowed my head in prayer. Fast forward to today – 7 months later its still a daily struggle. I<span;>n moments where things aren’t going well I’ve learnt to find strength and courage by meditating on God’s Word. I also found one of the best ways to cope is by being thankful. It might seem crazy, but finding ways to be thankful really helps me in this challenging times. I am thankful that God said He would never leave me. I am thankful that I’ve got a God who loves me even when I don’t deserve it.
Thankfulness is powerful, it changes your outlook. It takes the focus off of your problems and puts it back on God.
Friends, if you are dealing with a physical challenge, I encourage you to meditate on the fact that healing is in God’s nature. He designed our bodies to heal itself under normal circumstances. However, when circumstances are not normal and you find yourself not walking in divine health, you can seek God. Healing is His nature. He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord that heals!
I encourage you today to grab ahold of God’s promise in verse 30:17 of Jeremiah. It’s written for you. Claim it over your life with great faith. Walk in your healing today!
PRAYER:
Dear Father God, thank You for the many blessings that we receive from You daily. Lord I thank you for your continued healing. I know that we are wonderfully created and every part of our body is a miracle. Lord, I ask that you place Your healing Hands on all those who are facing illness in their lives. Lord, it seems that so many people have contracted some sort of health problem, and I just ask You to visit each of us at this time of illness, stretch Your healing hand on each lives and restore us all to good health. Thank You, that You are a God Who hears and answers prayers. In Jesus’ name I pray.
