“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
As long as we are in this life, we will always need to learn about prayer. It is the breath of our spiritual life. Just as we would die if we stop breathing, so our spiritual life will die if we stop praying, for prayer links us with the source of all spiritual life – God Himself. It is our communication line with God.
Jeremiah 33:3 is one of the greatest invitations to prayer ever given to anyone. It was spoken to Jeremiah when he was in prison for preaching the truth. Just as God mercifully spoke to him in his distress He is waiting to do the same for us. He is saying to us “I am here, Call on me!” But often at times we are too busy putting our faith and trust in earthly man.
We need to realize that there’s no prayer too hard for God to answer, no problem too big to solve, no person too lost to save, no promise too difficult to keep. Nothing lies outside the reach of prayer except that which lies outside the will of God. When we pray according to God’s will, He may choose to do that which the world with its limited perspective deems to be hedged in by the impossible. But many of us have proven that God is able “to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph 3:20).
Friends, Pray bold prayers of faith! Repent of any sinful ways, and watch the Lord reveal to you great and unsearchable things you do not know. It’s been said that the ‘greatest rewards in life go to the risk takers’. Call to the Lord, and expect God to answer!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank you for always being able and ready to help me in whatever circumstances I face. Help me to trust only in You and to call upon You in times of trouble. Thank you for the beautiful promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me. In Jesus name..AMEN
