“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

Matthew 24:44

In a world filled with chaos, it is so easy to get caught up in all the things that slow us down. We are so caught up with our struggles, difficulties, trials that we lose sight of our glorious hope on the horizon – Jesus’ Return. We lose our sense of urgency, passion as we become focused on our hardships in life.

Friends, we must always be prepared and on watch for the day Jesus is returning. God wants us to live knowing that at any moment, final judgment will come upon this world-not so that we would live in anxiety, but that we would be motivated to share the Gospel message boldly and lovingly, with all those who do not know Him.

Our job is not to know the day this will happen, but to be ready any day for His Return. Friends, what if Christ returned tomorrow,  are you ready to meet Him?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to be prepared and waiting when you come. Please quicken my heart with Your Spirit so that I can be alert and ready. Father, please also use me to help prepare others for your return. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
