“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Our lives are like grass, which appears as a vapour for a little while and then vanishes away.  Man’s glory is likened to both the grass of the field, which dries up in the noon-day sun and the short lived flowers, which droop and drop and withers away when the breath of the Lord blows over them. The nature of fallen man whose days are but as grass is starkly contrasted with the permanence of the everlasting Word of our God.

The grass withers, the flowers fade, tells us that things on earth are all temporary, even our bodies, but the word, THE WORD of our Living God will stand forever! Let us hold fast to this, because the enemy wants to steal this from us. The enemy makes us question what God has given us, to question all the benefits of the scriptures. When we spend time with God, we keep God’s truths in our minds and in our hearts, shaking off the enemy’s lies that God doesn’t want to heal, bless, and save us. God is faithful and His Word will endure forever.

It is in  God’s Word you will find answers to all of life’s trials, tribulations, joys and triumphant. It’s our blueprint to help us navigate through life’s journey. Let us read, mark, learn and inwardly digest all that His is and all that He has to say.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Living Word. Thank You for the truth that it contains. Thank You for Your everlasting grace and mercy towards frail humanity. Help me to understand Your Word more and more daily. Thank You for reserving a place for me with You in heaven. In Jesus Christ  I pray, AMEN.
